The UCYP Club and Association unit and Student Affairs Department has successfully conducted a Club and Association Carnival (CLASCAR) at the UCYP Main Campus, Tanjung Lumpur on 19th<\/sup> February 2020.<\/p>\n

The event has garnered an estimated amount of 300 UCYP students and club and association members. Clubs and association like Askar Wataniah<\/em> 505, Early Education Association, E-sports Club and many more were presented during the event. Also present during the event was UCYP Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student & Alumni Development), Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Bin Jaafar.<\/p>\n

The carnival was conducted as UCYP\u2019s effort in exposing and encouraging the UCYP students to take part in club and association activities as well as being active not just in academic but also in the co-curricular aspects. It also opened up the opportunity for the clubs and associations to show off their specialty in order to promote and attract new students to join their club.<\/p>\n

During the program, UCYP Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student Development & Alumni), Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Bin Jaafar in his speech, emphasized that excelling in co-curriculum activities is as important as excelling in academics as both aspect go hand in hand in determining the students\u2019 future.<\/p>\n

He also stated that this type of curricular event can boost students\u2019 confidence level and at the same time increase the teamwork and individual skills needed for the club and association to strive.<\/p>\n

There were a variety of activities and performances conducted by the clubs and association. There were also booths set up by the clubs such as E-Sport, PROSIS, PERSIS and many more where they promoted their clubs and even sell products as a way to gain revenue for upcoming activities. This is an excellent way to expose the students and club members to money management and also business.<\/p>\n

The carnival was also enlightened with performances by the Taekwando and Askar Wataniah<\/em> 505 club where they demonstrated their club\u2019s specialty and ability to the crowd. It was certainly an eye catching demonstration. The carnival concluded with a Zumba dance activity conducted by the Healthy Student Program (PROSIS).<\/p>\n

This carnival is hoped to encourage the students of UCYP to be more active in the co-curricular scene and also inspire them to create more innovative concepts for new clubs and associations in the future. UCYP Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student Development & Alumni), Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Bin Jaafar in his ending speech, stated that it is expected that there will be at least 50 clubs and associations in the future if the students show motivation and innovation in augmenting the curricular scene.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\t\t\t<\/div> \n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div> \n<\/div><\/div>\n\t\t
