A four-day sports tournament was organized by Majlis Sukan IPTS Malaysia (MASISWA) in collaboration with Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi (KPT) starting from 6th<\/sup>\u00a0February until 9th<\/sup>\u00a0February 2020 at TATI University College, Terengganu. The participants were representatives from 16 private higher education institution including UCYP. The games started briefly after the opening Ceremony of MASISWA Sports Tournament Eastern Zone 2020.<\/p>\n

During the tournament, Badminton, Ping Pong, Futsal, Football, Sepak Takraw, Petanque, Volleyball, Netball and E-Sports were among the games partaken by the participants. UCYP was represented by a contingent of 106 athletes from UCYP, KYP, KYP Advanced Skills, as well as PETAMA. Our contingent participated in all the competed events achieving an overall ranking of number six (6) out of 16 IPTS with one (1) gold, three (3) silver and two (2) bronze.<\/p>\n

UCYP medal winners for gold medals are Sepak Takraw and for silver medals are Women\u2019s Ping Pong Singles, Women\u2019s Badminton Singles, and E-Games Mobile Legends. Our contingents also managed to earn bronze medals for Men\u2019s Ping Pong Singles and Women\u2019s Ping Pong singles. The athletes have truly shown rigorous efforts throughout the tournament and are truly commendable.<\/p>\n

The overall winner for the tournament is UNITEN whereas the second and third place were won by TATIUC and KPTM respectively. All in all, Congratulations to the UCYP contingents for the efforts, hard work and the sportsmanship shown in the MASISWA Sports Tournament Eastern Zone 2020.<\/p>\n
