Twenty (20) candidates of different fields and backgrounds participated in order to obtain more info about \u2018the journey\u2019.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">The speakers invited were the Vice President of Industry Relations &amp; Research Development, Dr. Hafizan Binti Mat Som (KYP) and Associate Prof Dr. Mohd Rashid Bin Abd Hamid (UMP). Both of them shared their amazing and inspiring stories on significant areas needed when doing a PhD. The workshop covered topics like Introduction to research, Tips on how to \u2018survive\u2019 in pursuing PhD, Importance of Research Methodologies and Critical Literature Reviews. In addition to that, the participants were also briefed on Skim Penajaan Ijazah Kedoktoran (SPIK) introduced by KYP and upcoming events on support activities related to PhD enrolment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 300;\">The session in the workshop also included slots for some of the participants who have done and in the midst of completing their PhD to share their experiences. For example, Dr. Ustaz Azhar Jaafar @ Ramli shared his journey in doing PhD at IAIN Lampung, Indonesia. Meanwhile, Ustaz Ahmad Fared Bin Mohd Din presented his proposal before undergoing to the next stage that is the defend session in upcoming September. Apart from that, Puan Norbayanti Binti Abu Bakar took the opportunity to brief on her proposal, specifically on a Heritage Centre in Pekan. Lastly, Puan Nor Aishah Hashim presented her proposed area to be explored for her coming PhD. Congratulations to all participants and may Allah bless their journey to the ultimate goal.
