Syukur & Ikhlas, Eratkan Silaturrahim (Being grateful and sincere lead to stronger relationship) was the theme for UCYP & KYP 2019 Raya Potluck celebration that was held at Taman Gelora Campus on 26th June 2019. More than 450 people attended the celebration with colourful attire and raya spirit.<\/p>\n

Also present were the UCYP Board of Governance members, YBhg. Tan Sri. Dato\u2019 Sri Dr. Noorul Ainur Mohd Nur, YH. Prof Dato\u2019 Dr. Monir Yaakub, YH Prof Dato\u2019 Dr. Muhammad Muda, YH. Prof. Dato\u2019 Dr. Norzaini Azman who were warmly welcomed by YH. Prof Emeritus Dato\u2019 Dr. Ahmad bin Haji Zainuddin, the Vice Chancellor of UCYP.<\/p>\n

Potluck concept is chosen due to its uniqueness aspect. Apart from stregthening relationship among the staff, the concept also encouraging the spirit of togetherness and prudent spending. All UCYP and KYP staff participated and worked hand in hand to prepare variety of foods and drinks. More than ten (10) traditional Raya food and drinks served for guests. In addition to that,\u00a0 \u201cGerai Paling Raya\u201d (The most festive<\/em> stall) competition organized presented eight (8) creative food stalls decorated by the UCYP and KYP staff. The first place for \u201cGerai Paling Raya\u201d competition was won by the Faculty of Business and Management (FOBM) and the Faculty of Science and Technology (FOST), the second place was won by the Deputy Chancellor office (Student Development & Alumni) while the third place by the combined departments of Branding and Corporate Communication, Deputy Vice Chancellor Office (Academic & International), Deputy Vice Chancellor Office (Industry Linkages and Research Development) and Finance department.<\/p>\n

Another highlight of the event was duit raya distribution to 65 UCYP asnaf students. Like previous years, Majlis Ugama Islam & Adat Resam Melayu Pahang (MUIP) took the opportunity to assist those people in needs. \u00a0Representing MUIP was Encik Khairuddin Bin Husin, Kuantan Branch officer.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing grateful and sincere can always bring us together. This kind of celebration unites us and I appreciate the spirit of belongingness portrayed by each and one of the UCYP and KYP staff\u201d, said the Vice Chancellor, Prof Emeritus Dato\u2019 Dr. Ahmad Bin Hj. Zainuddin.<\/p>\n
